Death toll reaches 6 after boat capsized in central China river

USPA News - The death toll in Tuesday`s boat accident in a central China river rose to six on Thursday, local authorities said. The accident took place on Tuesday night in the Yuanjiang River in Yuanling County located in China`s Hunan Province.
Twelve people were on board the boat, which was rented by a local construction team, when the vessel capsized. Six survivors were rescued, but the owner of the boat had drowned before being pulled out of the water. Five people had gone missing, but on Thursday afternoon, search-and-rescue teams retrieved that last two missing bodies, after the other three had previously been found. Mass emergency operations were launched after the accident was reported with 40 ships and over 300 people participating in search-and-rescue operations. The exact cause of the accident remains unknown, but investigations were launched as well.
