Audrey Azoulay, Culture Minister & Patrick Kanner, Minister of the City, Youth and Sports, today launched the Call for Participation for the Appointment Hip Hop event to be held May 25 to June 1, 2016. The Ministry of Culture and Communication and the City Department of Youth and Sports supported the first edition of Go Hip Hop, major national event dedicated to hip hop and urban culture initiated by Hip Hop Citizens with Contest Pick up Production (Nantes), the Original (Lyon), Freedman (Marseille), Flow (Lille).---------------------------------------------------------
Five flagship projects will take place on Saturday 28 May, day and night, in five cities: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Lille and Nantes. All artistic disciplines will be honored, with dancing, graffiti, rap, dj'ing, beatbox. Urban Sports, projections, debates, meetings, performances or other urban street art artistic expressions will be valued on the whole territory.-----------------------
Other initiatives from the associations, popular education, sports networks among others, will also be integrated into national programming.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To participate, each promoter - whether professional, amateur, resulting from cultural organizations, associations or school - can, today, to get on the platform rendezvoushiphop.fr to be part of this national program.-------------------------------------------
This call for entries especially for live scenes and performances, educational workshops, meetings and debates, battles, choreographic meetings, exhibitions, visual and graphic arts (painting, graffiti ...), video projections taking place between 25 May and 1 June.This new event aims to highlight the diversity of hip hop from all public throughout France.
