At least 2 killed in Canada daycare shooting
USPA News -
At least two people were killed after a deadly shooting at a Canadian daycare, local authorities said Friday. The shooting occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. local time when a man entered a daycare center on Gamelin Street in Gatineau, Quebec and began threatening staff members.
Gatineau Police Chief Mario Haren told CTV News that authorities arrived and found the suspected gunman dead next to a shotgun. Another person, a male who was a janitor at the daycare was also found dead. While few details were disclosed by authorities, investigations were launched to figure out whether the gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot. In addition, other reports said the gunman was in a relationship with the director of the daycare, whose new partner was the killed janitor. The daycare is a two-house facility which cares for 53 children, including five babies and toddlers. They were evacuated safely from the site of the incident.
