Last month's state visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to the United States comes at a time of extensive bilateral economic ties and cooperation across a range of issues including security, energy, and climate change. But points of contention have also multiplied, including China's ongoing land reclamation in the South China Sea and the threat of U.S. Sanctions against China entities accused of cyber theft.
Before, this special political event, China President Xi Jinping's special envoy Meng Jianzhu was meeting United States Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington D.C. On September 11, 2015. China and United States reaching an important consensus on combating cyber crimes.

If President Barak Obama and President Xi Jinping can demonstrate verbally and symbolically that they are seriously engaged in the business of delivering global prosperity and maintenance of peace, they will have done well with the last Chinese state visit of the Obama era.
