A Local High School Student with Gumption!

USPA NEWS - On any normal day,of any normal week in Shelbyville, you will notice numerous individuals walking up and down our residential streets. But on this day, strolling down Belmont Avenue, with a friend, was a young lady with a Large Yellow Sign.

A Shelbyville High School Student with Gumption!

SHELBYVILLE, TN , APRIL 7, 2015- On any normal day,of any normal week in Shelbyville, you will notice numerous individuals walking up and down our residential streets. But on this day, strolling down Belmont Avenue, with a friend, was a young lady with a Large Yellow Sign. When we stopped to ask what her sign was all about, we found an inspirational story for today.

Kristen Marsh, a student at Shelbyville Central High School, was walking down Belmont with the sign that you see in the photo, which asked "Will you go to Prom with Me?".

This, touched our heart,as it should yours, and has many of our readers who have posted numerous statements of support to this fine young lady. The sheer fact that a student at our high school had the gumption to walk down a very busy street asking if someone would accompany them to the Prom which is next Saturday Night, April 17th.

In the age of "bullying" this young woman, took it upon herself to walk down the street, to ask someone to take her to the prom.

KUDOS, to Ms. Marsh and every single high school student of like mind!!!

FOLLOWUP: Ms Marsh asked her best friend, and she said YES!!! So they are all set for the Shelbyville Central High School Prom on April 17, 2015.
