Shoot4Earth - BEST PRODUCTION

ONE EARTH, ONE FILM, ONE CHANCE


USPA NEWS - In order to promote green and Earth-friendly thinking, this Hungarian initiative is a
collaboration of filmmakers, directors, environmental activists, for all people living on all 5
continents of the globe. We hereby launch our Shoot4Earth 24-hour filmmaking marathon.
Start of the competition: 15 th April (Saturday), 2023. 10 a.m.
Aims of the game: we use filmmaking techniques to change people’s mindset and raise
awareness to the urgent need of changing consumer habits in our everyday life.
Our goal is to motivate people to take social responsibility in order to support green thinking
and protect our environment.In the filmmaking marathon participants have only 24 hours, i.e. one day to create their
mini-film.
The Organizers will announce compulsory elements at the start of the competition, with regards to the time zone differences, simultaneously in all countries. Out of these three elements one must be chosen and be incorporated into the 1minute film. Anybody, from any country can join and take part in the competition. The films can be of any genre, and participants can use a digital camera, mobile phone with a camera, or camera with a VCR function. The film can feature live actors, video clips or animation. No registration fee. The 24.hour film-marathon will take place simultaneously in all countries, with regards to
the time zone differences. The start is the 15th April Saturday 10 a.m. local time. Registration Participants can register until the very start of the competition on the official website of the marathon. The teams and participants (even one person can participate) must raise awareness in a maximum 1-minute film to the urgent need to take care of our environment, be conscious about protecting nature, so that with such awareness we can do a lot to fight pollution and climate change.
The Chair of the jury is Lawrence David FOLDES (Los Angeles) member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of the United States, former member of the Student Oscar Executive Committee of the Student Academy Award for 20 years. The Art director of the marathon is Professor Karl Bardosh, Master Professor of Tisch School of Arts New York University, USA. The realization of the 24-hour film-marathon is supported by regional producers in different continents and countries. The unique filmmaking game was supported by the Oscar-winning Czech film director Ji?í Menzel for years, István Szabó, Oscar-winning Hungarian film director and Kristóf Deák, the director of the Oscar-winning short film entitled Mindenki (Everyone). The initiative targeting video making is highly supported by Steven Spielberg, Oscar-winning American film director.
The organizers of the event wish to contribute to the resolution of problems concerning the indisputably shared needs of humanity on our environmental threats and fighting against them, in order to ensure that the Blue Plant can stay with us for a long time, so that we can stay its inhabitants, share and enjoy living there together for a long time. The best, award winning films made by mobile phone in the 24-hour film-making world- marathon will be presented at the Global Short Film Awards event in Cannes and in New York, to the invitation of Csaba K?rösi, the head of the UN Assembly.
