USPA NEWS - Canada's Export Québec - Ministry of Economy, Science, and Innovation, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, will be hosting a special Climate Finance event during the 2018 Africa Trade and Investment Global Summit in Washington, DC, coordinated by The Varanda Network.
Under the patronage of the event organizers, African and Canadian entrepreneurs and special guests will meet to discuss new opportunities in renewable energy, clean technologies, and financing of the fight against climate change.

The first hour of the event will explore opportunities for collaboration between Africa and Canada on climate finance and the renewable energy sector in Africa, particularly in hydro, solar and wind, followed by a networking reception.

Bernadette Fernandes : A Very Successful Business Woman.
Bernadette is passionate about economic growth, having spent the past seven years developing companies´ export readiness, attracting investment to economic jurisdictions, and contributing to the growth plans of major exporters. Last summer, she spent eight weeks in Africa learning about its cultures and meeting with innovators--both present and future.

From this experience, she has developed a passion for the continent, as well as a goal to foster a more productive relationship between Africa and Canada. With The Varanda Network, she hopes to achieve this by connecting more than 30 Canadian delegates with African politicians and business leaders at the summit
